Waterfoot Park, Pooley Bridge, Ullswater, Cumbria CA11 0JF
Very friendly staff ,the site was very clean and set in a nice location close to Ulswater lake. You can walk to Pooley bridge from the site which has 3 nice pubs serving food .
The team at Waterfoot were all very friendly and helpful when dealing with our last booking, a change to the booking and a future booking, both on the phone as well as face to face. The site, although smaller than many we go to, is perfectly located in the Lake District and is clean and well looked after.
Could not fault anything about site. Great staff and lovely clean facilities . They have thought of everything to make your stay perfect.
Very clean and tidy. A nice welcome at reception. Good location for Pooley Bridge and the boats. We'll laid out campsite with good space between chalets and pods. Shop well stocked. Nice and quiet.
Very good and friendly site very clean
compact field with warm welcome and clean facilities
Very accommodating clean and good location
Well kept park friendly staff
Lovely site, good facilities, excellent location for northern Lake District. Great walks & cycling. We had a lovely all day sunny pitch.
Attentive efficient staff. Tidy clean and well run site
Lovely clean quiet park with very helpful staff. The chippy van and the Wood fired Pizza visits were a bonus! We had drinks in the mansion bar and sat outside in the lovely gardens in the evening. Perfect touring weekend.
We took our touring caravan here and were very disappointed with the standard of the shower block. The showers were not particularly clean and there were a lot of flies (alive and dead) in the shower area. We also witnessed dogs off leads which lead to dog mess on site. The pitches themselves did not have any privacy and there was very little space between them making the site feel very cramped. We were also disappointed by noise from adults after the curfew and had to ask politely that they be quiet when they were still laughing and talking loudly after 11.30!! On the plus side the site surroundings are very nice and the bar in the mansion was well stocked. The member of staff in reception was very helpful and the shop is well laid out and has a good selection of stock.
Our first caravan trip in over 20 years and a lovely way to get back into it. The site is lovely, with great walks around it. The owners are friendly and helpful, quickly making us feel at home. Definitely a site we’ll revisit.
Yes, we would return. The whole park was immaculate and well kept. The location is so convenient for the village.
From the second we arrived we were greeted by a friendly, informative and helpful member of staff. The location is absolutely perfect and the facilities, including the wonderful bar are great. Couldn't fault our experience.
Staff helpful and professional. Genuinely could not have been better . Nothing too much trouble . Relaxed atmosphere just what required on a break .
Very pleasent and professionally
Fabulous from start to finish. Me, my husband and our 2 dogs stayed in one of the Bee Hives, it was so lovely. We got a lovely welcome as we arrived and showed to our Bee Hive. The Hive itself was lovely, it has towels, bed linen, washing up liquid, mood lighting and blue tooth speakers. The park is well maintained. The Mansion has a coffee machine £1.50 for any coffee or tea (I recommend the cappuccino). There was a fish van onsite on the Wednesday evening which was a lovely surprise. The walk to Pooley Bridge is lovely and is only 15-20 minutes. The pubs there are welcoming of dogs. The only thing I could fault is it would’ve been lovely if the Mansion bar was open for a few hours on one of the nights but this is a very minor thing. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves and felt very welcome
Lovely landscaped site. Lots of information on the area given when booking in.Showers/toilets immaculate and warm
We stayed at Waterfoot Park mid July 2019, for 2 nights mid week. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our pitch immediately.Although this is primarily a static caravan park, the touring pitch area is secluded, and although quite full when we were there, very quiet. The facilities were clean and tidy. The mansion house was only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday when we stayed which was a shame as we were not able to visit.Pooley Bridge is a 15 minute walk from the site along footpaths so there is no need to brave walking along the road which does not have pavements. All in all an excellent stay and we would definitely return.
