Our Facilities
The Touring Area
Located to the left of the site as you enter the Park, the touring areas offer ample room for caravans, motor-homes and their awnings. They are the perfect setting for family barbecues or simply relax and enjoy nature at its best. Adjacent is the toilet and shower block, maintained to the highest standard, with hot showers, washing-up facilities, laundry areas, baby-changing and disabled facilities as well as a recycling point. There is a public telephone so relax and leave the mobile at home! We take great pride in our location and would like to point out that TV reception is intermittent even with a digital service, if you have a dish reception is much better.
Please note that we cannot accept Motorhomes over 25FT and Tourers over 23FT. Sorry but we do not accept tents.
The Play Areas
There is a large and secure children’s play area adjacent to the touring area, with a range of equipment to suit most children. We do request that parents ensure that children are adequately supervised to enjoy their play. There is also a ball games area for older children and parents alike, please also note that this area is off limits to dogs.
Waterfoot Mansion
The Reception and Shop, located in the old servant quarters of the Mansion is open daily in the season, for newspapers, basic provisions as well as a small selection of toys and gifts. We also sell and exchange Calor Gas canisters. In the once grand hall of the Mansion, there is a well stocked information area with details of many attractions and places to visit within the Lake District; one of our sister attractions, ‘Ullswater Steamers’ has been sailing on England’s most beautiful lake for over 150 years. Waterfoot Park is walking distance from the village of Pooley Bridge, with its small selection of pubs and gift shops as well as the Ullswater ‘Steamer’ Pier, for cruising the lake linking some of the most famous and spectacular walks in the Lake District. There is a bar area and family room located in the rear of the mansion with a darts area and pool table. There are superb views across the lawns towards the lake – this really is a holiday with a difference- location!
